We will adhere to the privacy policies and practices as described in this notice even if you decide to close your account(s) or become an inactive customer.
It is the policy of Asheville Savings Bank to assure that the information it has about its customers is accurate, and that the information is highly confidential and should only be available to persons who have a need for the information to properly service a customer's account, act upon a customer's request or to fulfill that person's job responsibility within Asheville Savings Bank. Asheville Savings Bank has extensive security procedures that insure its confidentiality policy is followed. Customer information is maintained in paper-based files and electronic databases. All paper-based files are kept under secure control and are restricted to bank personnel who have a need for access to the information in the file to properly carry out his or her job responsibility.
Our automated systems have a complex set of passwords, user identifications and terminal identifications that limit each employee's access to information in the systems to that information that he or she requires to properly carry out his or her job responsibility. In addition, Asheville Savings Bank has a complex system of "firewalls" surrounding its automated systems to ensure that access by unauthorized persons is prevented.
